È SPECULAZIONE, NON CHIAMATELA INFLAZIONE
Istat, in forte calo il potere d’acquisto delle famiglie -3,7% (ANSA.it)
I dati ISTAT confermano quello che il PCI sostiene dall’inizio dell’ultima ondata inflattiva: l’aumento dei costi di energia e materiali è largamente dovuto ai maggiori utili aziendali, che non a fattori esterni come la guerra.
Così, di fronte a un calo del potere d’acquisto della popolazione del 3,7%, si registra una crescita dei profitti aziendali del 2% sul 2022, e del 3% rispetto al 2021. Il risultato è un lordo totale aumentato di quasi l’8%.
Chi dunque ha provato a convincerci che fosse «colpa di Putin» se l’inflazione stesse impennando tanto vigorosamente, oggi è sbugiardato dai dati, che testimoniano qualcosa di molto diverso: è la speculazione delle aziende e dei mercati ad aver gravato sulle possibilità di spesa e sussistenza di individui e famiglie.
In altre parole, mentre i ceti popolari e medi soffrivano (e soffrono ancora) dovendo ridimensionare la propria spesa – il che può voler dire rinunciare alle cure, allo sport, avere difficolta ad arrivare a fine mese, peggiorare la qualità degli alimenti consumati ecc.. – le aziende potevano, e possono, festeggiare utili record.
Per noi non è che l’ennesima conferma dell’irrimandabile necessità di cambiare questo stato di cose, di drenare potere ai privati per riportarlo al pubblico; + Stato – Mercato non è uno slogan, è la sola via per fermare le scempio neoliberale che funziona solo per arricchire chi è già ricco, a spese di tutti gli altri.

ISTAT data confirm what the PCI has been arguing since the beginning of the last inflationary wave: the rise in energy and material costs is largely due to higher corporate profits, than to external factors such as war.
Thus, in the face of a 3.7 percent decline in the purchasing power of the population, there is a growth in corporate profits of 2 percent over 2022, and 3 percent over 2021. The result is a total gross increased by almost 8%.
Those, therefore, who tried to convince us that it was “Putin’s fault” that inflation was soaring so vigorously are now being debunked by the data, which testify to something very different: it is speculation by corporations and markets that has burdened the spending and subsistence options of individuals and families.
In other words, while the working and middle classes suffered (and still suffer) by having to scale back their spending-which may mean giving up health care, sports, having difficulty making ends meet, deteriorating quality of food consumed, etc. – companies could, and can, celebrate record profits.
For us, it is but yet another confirmation of the urgent need to change this state of affairs, to drain power from private individuals and return it to the public; + State – Market is not a slogan, it is the only way to stop the neoliberal havoc that works only to enrich those who are already rich, at the expense of everyone else.
