On April 5, the delegation of World Anti-imperialist Platform (the Platform) held a debate in Rome, Italy. About 20 people attended the event, and the audience listened attentively to the presentation.
Andrea Marchis, head of the Rome region of CARC (Committees to Support the Resistance for Communism), moderated the event.
The Platform said, “Korea is in a low-intensity war. In October, 2024, two months before martial law, the South Korean (Republic of Korea) military launched a drone strike on Pyongyang. If the DPRK did not put up with “Strategic patience”, the “Korean War” would have erupted in October last year. The US imperialism declared martial law on December 3, 2024 after the drone attack failed last October. This is the essence of martial law.”
“The reason why imperialism is forced to wage a world war is because it is in a state of severe political and economic panic. World War III is a global anti-imperialist war against imperialism. The people of the world must form a powerful anti-imperialist front and struggle together against the imperialist war drive,” he said.
The moderator said, “Many people should organize mass demonstrations in Italy for social transformation. We must struggle for our sovereignty.”
The participants ended the meeting with an energetic discussion.
