Russia warns strongly NATO Baltic Sea maneuvers


The Russian government has condemned strongly to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) maneuvers in the Baltic Sea.
“We assess NATO’s military activities as part of preparations for a military clashes with Russia,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexsander Grushko told TASS on Thursday (local time).
He said, “If you look at the objectives of the exercises, including the theme, troop deployment, and capabilities, you can see that they are aimed at confronting the hostile power that is Russia,” Grushko said, calling them “extremely provocative actions.”
NATO has been conducting Baltops (Baltic Operations) 2025 in the Baltic Sea from June 3. More than 40 ships, 25 aircraft and 9,000 personnel from 16 NATO members—the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland and Estonia—are participating, according to the US Navy.
