The President of Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) said: the Venezuelan people must resist US psychological warfare and military threats, rejecting any internal actors who side with imperial interests. Venezuela has long been prepared for both propaganda campaigns and possible military aggression. The people must not succumb to fear while staying ready for any attack. The message concludes with a call for global communist and revolutionary solidarity, asserting that Venezuela is prepared to deliver another “Vietnam” to US imperialism.

Today, the National Directorate of the Communist Party, together with the Communist Union, has expressed its profound rejection of the presence of the largest aircraft carrier in the United States in US waters. The United States of America clearly intends to create fear and confusion, not only in Venezuela, but also in the vast majority of the countries that make up the Caribbean. We say that either this aircraft carrier was brought here solely to create fear, or its mobilization is for a military aggression against our homeland. We only have to say that our people are prepared for both. First, we are accustomed to the campaign of terror and fear that the US government has been trying to wage for years through its attacks against the people of Venezuela. Our people have resisted all forms of struggle that US imperialism has implemented. And the other path is military action. We must also tell you that our people are also prepared for a possible military aggression by the US government. That is why we call on our people, the men and women of our homeland, not to fall prey to the terror that the Americans are trying to impose on us. But we also tell you that we must be prepared for possible military aggression. Hoy, la Dirección Nacional del Partido Comunista, juntamente con la Unión Comunista, tiene manifestado un más profundo rechazo por la presencia de los aviones que llevan foro más grande que tiene los Estados Unidos en las aguas de Estados Unidos. Definitivamente, los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica están con la intención de crear miedo, sobra de error, no solamente sobre Venezuela, sino sobre una gran mayoría de los que conformamos el país del Caribe. Decimos nosotros, o este portaaviones solamente los trajeron para crear miedo, o la movilización de este portaaviones es para una agresión militar contra nuestra patria. Solamente tenemos que decirle, nuestro pueblo está preparado para las dos cosas. Primero, estamos acostumbrados a la campaña de terror y miedo que hace años ha intentado hacer el gobierno norteamericano a través de sus agallos contra el pueblo de Venezuela. Nuestro pueblo ha resistido todas las formas de lucha que ha implementado el imperialismo norteamericano. Y la otra vía es la vida de la acción militar. También tenemos que decirle que nuestro pueblo también está preparado ante una posible agresión militar del gobierno norteamericano. Por eso le hacemos un llamado a nuestro pueblo, a los hombres y mujeres de nuestra patria, a no caer en el terror que pretenden imponernos los norteamericanos. Pero también le decimos que debemos estar preparados ante una posible agresión militar. Por último, le hacemos un llamado a todos los partidos comunistas del mundo, le hacemos un llamado a todos los movimientos revolucionarios del mundo, a que manifestemos nuestra solidaridad con nuestra patria, que hoy está siendo agredida por el imperio más grande que ha tenido la humanidad. Hoy ese imperio pudiera sufrir una derrota en América Latina y definitivamente en el Caribe, tal y como la victoria en la guerra. Que esto se ha decidido convertirlo en una revolución política, en una revolución armada. Ahora nuestro pueblo está preparado para imprimirle otro Vietnam al gobierno norteamericano. ¡Ante la agresión imperialista! ¡Unidad de los comunistas!
